Point taken, I agree Morpheus. It isn’t an exact science and I dont’ think most women know themselves or the underlying reason for their mating decisions (I don’t either, to a large extent…at least not to the point of precision). I do think the less needy tactics are more likely to serve better. In the above hypothetical Captain’s case I’d say a more auspicious start (more likely to be successful and also far cheaper) would be to throw something out like, “Hey we’re going to meet a Dilland’s pub around eight if you want to join us” rather than “We’re going to Dilland’s pub and if you come I will buy you drinks and dinner”.
